  • ½ cup Unsalted butter room temperature
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup White sugar + 2 tbsp for sprinkling on top of the cookie
  • 1 large Egg
  • ½ tsp pure almond extract
  • 2 cups all Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ cup slivered almonds

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter room temperature
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup White sugar + 2 tbsp for sprinkling on top of the cookie
