With a thick chewy crust, layers of mozzarella and smooth cream cheese, and topped with with crispy bacon pieces, Cream Cheese Bacon Deep Dish Pizza is a slice of heaven for all of you pizza lovers!
The first time I had deep dish pan pizza was on a trip to Chicago. My favorite part of pizza is the crust and the thicker the better. The Chicago-style pizza was like nothing I’d tasted before, and I had to come home and make my own version! It’s like the perfect blend of a pizza and a savory pie. The tangy creamy cheese and mozzarella cheese mixture, with the salty taste of the crispy bacon and the thick chewy pizza crust is the perfect blend of textures and flavor! A bonus is dipping the crust in ranch dressing!
What is the difference between pizza and deep-dish pizza?
- Deep Dish Pizza: It has a thick crust that forms a deep pan, resembling a pie crust. The dough is pressed up the sides of a deep dish pan, creating a substantial base for the toppings.
- Regular Pizza: Also known as thin-crust or hand-tossed pizza, it has a thinner and more uniform crust. The dough is stretched or tossed to achieve the desired thickness before toppings are added.
