Quick and Easy Maple Almond Granola

With perfectly crunchy oats sweetened with maple syrup and honey, and tossed with toasted slivered almonds, this Quick and Easy Maple Almond Granola takes only takes 30 minutes and will be your new go to recipe!

With the mad rush to school and work, mornings are crazy in my house! My kids never have time for breakfast and they something quick and easy, but also healthy. I always have batch of this homemade granola recipe on hand breakfast, or a great snack anytime of the day!

What to eat with quick and easy maple almond granola

Sprinkle over top of yogurt for an added crunch

Fresh berries

In a cereal bowl topped with milk

The flavor is so good you can it eat alone!

Variations

Nuts – swap out almonds for walnuts or pecans

Dried fruit – raisins, cranberries, cherries, apricots

Chocolate chips

Coconut flakes – I like to add these for my daughter who loves coconut

Seeds – chia seeds, sunflower seeds

Ingredients in Quick and easy maple almond granola

  • 5 cups old fashioned rolled oats (not quick oats) I use Quaker Oats or Bob’s Red Mill
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 5 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp flax seed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 4 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F. 
  • Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, almonds, coconut flakes and cinnamon
  • To the dry ingredients, add oil, 4 tbsp of maple syrup, vanilla and honey and stir until well coated.
  • Pour the granola on the baking sheet in an even layer then spread across the pan making sure it’s evenly distributed.
  • Drizzle the remaining 1 tbsp of syrup over the top of the oats
  • Bake for 8 minutes, then remove the pan from the oven and toss mixture, then press down evenly across the pan.
  • Bake another 8 minutes or until golden brown – don’t overcook it, the oats will continue to harden after removing from the oven.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes

Storing Quick and easy maple almond granola

Kept in a ziplock freezer bag, or airtight container, this easy granola keeps for up to a month. Be sure not to let air get to it or it can lose it’s crunch.
