Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This creamy, melty brie cheese is topped with tart cranberry sauce and fresh rosemary and paired with cheesy Brazilian style bread bites. This Gluten Free Baked Brie with Cheese Bread recipe is the ultimate sweet and savory holiday appetizer. With only 5 minutes of prep and 20 minutes in the oven, this cranberry brie pull-apart bread just might be your go-to festive app from Thanksgiving all the way through New Year’s Day.

Latin inspired cheese bread

Brie wrapped in puff pastry is a delicious holiday classic. Since I cut gluten from my diet, I’ve been trying to recreate this classic without the gluten. This recipe might just be better than the original! This Holiday Gluten Free Baked Brie recipe uses a naturally gluten-free, frozen, latin-inspired bread from the freezer section found in most grocery stores called Brazi Bites. These frozen bites cook in just 20 minutes. They have the perfect crispy texture on the outside and on the inside, they’re warm, fluffy and deliciously doughy. I like to use the garlic asiago flavor for this recipe…it pairs perfectly with the cranberry/rosemary flavor combination that tops our delicious brie cheese.

Let it Brie

Brie cheese is my favorite food, hands down, so naturally I have strong opinions about the way it’s prepared. When a recipe removes the top rind or even worse…the entire rind, I can’t help but shake my head. Don’t do it…let Brie be. Yes the rind is technically mold, but it’s edible and it actually adds an amazing earthy flavor. The creamy cheese center combined with the earthy rind are perfection and are meant to be eaten together. In this recipe, I keep the entire rind on the cheese wheel. When it’s heated in the oven, the rind will keep that creamy center tucked inside. So I pierce one or two parts of the cheese when I’m ready to serve and it slowly runs out of the casing, soaking that cheese bread in the best way possible.

Serving Suggestion

Brazi Bites are the perfect size for a holiday party app. To serve this recipe, I pierce the side of the brie once it comes out of the oven so that the creamy, cheesy center leaks all over the bread bites. I to serve this app with toothpicks so guests can use a toothpick to dip the bread into the runny cheese to soak up that warm and creamy brie. Easy to prepare…easy to serve and easy to eat. When I have a turkey to finish while simultaneously putting the finishing touches on the side dishes, an easy app is exactly what every host needs.

What’s in gluten free baked brie?

  • Brazi Bites – Garlic Asiago is my favorite flavor in this recipe! These are available in the freezer section in most grocery stores. You may or may not use the entire bag depending on the size of your brie wheel.
  • Brie cheese – I highly recommend President Brie. It melts perfectly in 20 minutes.
  • Can of whole berry or regular cranberry sauce – I prefer whole berry.
  • Orange marmalade. This is optional. If you prefer to stick with cranberry sauce only, use one cup and skip the orange marmalade.
  • 1-2 sprigs of fresh rosemary – Adds to the presentation and smells amazing for the holidays.
